When I first joined Mission Nutrition it was the middle of winter and I was feeling pretty low - my clothes were tight, I felt lethargic and wasn't managing my food intake and exercise. I had also moved flats and was going to be shopping and cooking for only myself for the first time and knew that it was an opportunity to make some positive changes. I wanted not only to loose some weight but also eat healthy and tasty food on a budget which I knew would be harder when cooking for one.

I found Claire to be approachable, understanding and sympathetic to the challenges of being 24 and wanting to make some changes without missing out socially or blowing the budget! To date I have had some ups and downs and as a result lots of learning's such as to never order dinner after a a glass of wine as all control and goes out the window! However, as Claire says that's part of the process of learning to make changes for the long term. To give my project real value I have also named it Project Foxy so that by summer I will have a 'Foxy Figure' as well as 'Foxy Finances' - I find it really helps to make it a positive experience so that I'm not missing out on things rather every time I make a better choice it all contributes to Project Foxy!

I've been going for 4 weeks now and my clothes fit better, I feel lighter and brighter and am now far more aware of how I feel when I eat a big heavy meal versus a lighter, smaller meal. I now look forward to my next appointment with Claire rather than dreading getting on those scales!
