Working together alongside weight loss medication
If you’re considering, or already taking, weight loss medication - we want you to know this: there’s no judgement here.
For some people, these medications can be a helpful tool. For others, they’re not the right fit. What matters most is that whatever approach you take supports your health in the long term, not just the number on the scales.
At Mission Nutrition, our role isn’t to prescribe or manage medication. That sits with your GP or specialist. What we do is help you protect your muscle, metabolism, gut health and energy while you’re on it, and help you build habits that last well beyond it.
Because here’s the important bit…
These medications can reduce appetite. That’s part of how they work. But if you end up eating too little, especially protein and other key nutrients, it can affect:
Your muscle mass
Your bone strength
Your energy and focus
Your digestion
Your ability to maintain progress long term
We don’t just care about weight loss. We care about how you feel, how you function, and how sustainable your approach is.
If at any point you experience ongoing nausea, dizziness, significant digestive issues or anything that worries you, it’s important to talk with your prescribing doctor. And please let us know too so we can adjust your nutrition strategy to support you.
Most importantly, medication doesn’t replace habits. It can create a chance to reset patterns, tune back into your body, and build a calmer relationship with food.
That’s what we’ll focus on together.
You can make an appointment online to see one our team - Amy J, Amy A, Ellie, Hannah or Melissa are experienced in this space, or reach out to our Clinic Manager Hayley if you have any questions.
